Pennant Sides Victorious

It was a successful day for both Penola Pennants sides with both the A2 and Handicap sides claiming wins at the Mount Gambier Open Day.

The A2s had a convincing 5-0 win over Millicent. Lindsay Storer led the charge with a comfortable 6&4 result while Nathan Williams showed excellent form to take his game out 3&2. The other 3 results were a little narrower with Leo Price, John Mossop and George Kidman all claiming honours 1 up.

The Handicap side had a tighter contest with a 3-2 win over Blue Lake thanks to victories from Shane Anderson, Andrew Hutchesson and Peter Ey.

Next week will see the action take place at the Blue Lake Stroke Play Championships. The Handicap side will be up against Naracoorte while the A2 side will have a well-deserved bye.
